Dentistry has made my life so interesting. I never go to work and do the same thing two days in a row; each day and each patient is different and has unique needs. I enjoy helping my patients become educated about their oral health and understand how it affects the rest of the body.
Education and Experience
I was raised in Lawrence, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence for my undergraduate degree. I went on to attend Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, for dental school and earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
While in dental school, I participated in a program called ILAC (Institute of Latin American Concern) to provide dental care to remote villages in the Dominican Republic for two months. I was in private practice in Eureka, Missouri before moving the Mount Vernon area in 2005.
I love the constant learning involved with being a dentist. I attend many local continuing education seminars in Seattle and surrounding areas, but within the past few years I have been traveling to Scottsdale, AZ for continuing education at The Spear Institute for Advanced Dental Education. I want to provide my patients with the best dental care possible, and that involves keeping up with the latest research in the dental field.

Outside the Office
I have lived in Mount Vernon for almost ten years now, and enjoy being active in my community. My husband Paul is an orthodontist and practices in Skagit and San Juan counties. We have two daughters, Parker and Cassidy, who light up my life every day. I love spending time with my girls! When I have free time, I also enjoy doing CrossFit, reading, and skiing.
